For students on a valid <strong>Stamp 2<\/strong>, the current Immigration Service Delivery rules allow casual employment for up to <strong>20 hours per week during term time<\/strong> and up to <strong>40 hours per week during June, July, August and September, and from 15 December to 15 January<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding:24px;background:#f5f8fa;border-left:4px solid #d8a45b;margin:28px 0\"><strong>Important:<\/strong> Academic Year study does not mean a job is guaranteed. Your right to work comes from your immigration permission and its conditions.<\/div>\n<h2>What this means in practice<\/h2>\n<p>You can search for part-time work around your class schedule, but you should arrive with enough money to cover your initial living costs while you settle in and look for opportunities.<\/p>\n<h2>Before accepting a job<\/h2>\n<p>Check that your immigration permission allows the work, keep within the permitted weekly hours and make sure your working conditions comply with Irish employment law.<\/p>\n<p>Official information can change.
