Academic Year Pre-Arrival Guide

You do not need to solve your entire life in Dublin before you travel. Focus first on the things that genuinely need to be ready before departure.

Before you travel

• Check that your passport is valid for your journey.
• Keep your ISI Letter of Acceptance accessible.
• Complete any visa process that applies to your nationality.
• Confirm your accommodation arrival details.
• Book flights with enough time to arrive and settle before your first school day.
• Save the school and accommodation contact details somewhere you can access offline.

Your standard ISI Academic Year arrival documents

For the normal school-side pre-arrival guidance, bring your passport + Letter of Acceptance. ISI Medical Insurance documentation is handled through the school process and is not added to this standard pre-arrival checklist.

Your first day at ISI

You will complete the school arrival/orientation process and an individual level assessment with the Academic Department so your class placement can be finalised.

After arrival

Depending on your situation, practical next steps may include getting a SIM/phone number, learning your transport route, applying for a PPS Number once you have a valid reason, and completing required immigration registration/IRP steps.
