First Academic Year in Ireland
Study English in Dublin for the long term
25 weeks of English study plus 8 weeks of holiday, with three timetable options designed for eligible non-EU students planning their first Academic Year in Ireland.
Choose the timetable that fits your plan
AY15 Morning
15 hours per week
Monday–Friday · 09:00–12:15
A classic morning schedule that leaves afternoons free for Dublin life, study, practical appointments and — where your immigration permission allows it — work.
AY15 Afternoon
15 hours per week
Monday–Thursday · 13:00–17:00
A four-day afternoon schedule that can suit students who prefer to organise mornings around work, study or personal plans.
AY20 Morning
20 hours per week
08:00–12:15
A more intensive morning option for students who want additional classroom time while keeping afternoons available.

Oxford Test of English
The final examination for the current Non-EU Academic Year programme is the Oxford Test of English.

Dublin support
Access practical guidance around arrival, accommodation, job searching, student life and settling into Dublin.
Is Academic Year the right route for you?
Not every long-stay student needs the same programme. Nationality, whether this is your first Academic Year in Ireland, where you are currently living and any Irish immigration permission you already hold can change the correct route.
That is why we ask a few eligibility questions before pushing you toward a price or booking.
