Students holding a valid Stamp 2 permission may work up to 20 hours per week during term time and up to 40 hours per week during the official student holiday periods defined by Immigration Service Delivery.

Arrive with enough money for your first weeks

Dublin has a large international workforce and student community, but finding a job can take time. Immigration rules also require students to show they can support themselves without relying on casual employment.

Plan your initial accommodation and living costs before arrival. If you find work, treat that income as part of your experience — not as the only way to pay for your first weeks in Ireland.
