Finding a Job in Dublin
There is no single “student jobs” market. International students work across hospitality, retail, customer service, administration, care, operations and many other sectors depending on experience, English, availability and immigration permission.
Start before you start applying
- Prepare a short, clear Irish-style CV.
- Make your availability easy to understand.
- Use a professional email address and Irish phone number once available.
- Adapt applications to the role.
- Practise introducing yourself and explaining your experience in English.
Where students search
Common job-search sites include Indeed Ireland, IrishJobs and Jobs.ie. Networking, local businesses and recommendations can also be useful.
Don’t measure success by the first week
Some students find work quickly; others need more time. Your previous experience, English, schedule, season and the local labour market all matter. Plan your finances so you are not forced to accept the first opportunity simply because you need immediate income.
